Ilim ve Rahmet Foundation Social Responsibility Scholarship

About Scholarship

With our “Young Steps Impacting Society” project, initiated for students continuing their education with social responsibility awareness, our foundation, which adopts the mission of sowing the seeds of solidarity and cooperation in the region we are located, has determined successful and conscious students who are beneficial to themselves and their surroundings as its target group.

We will reach thousands of needy people, including the elderly, disabled, orphaned, and those longing for a knock on their door in Turkey, with students who have social responsibility awareness in our country and strengthen our internal bonds. We stand against the claim that the young and dynamic section of society is indifferent, and we support young people who are responsible in their educational institutions.

There is no retroactive payment to those whose education starts in November or those whose scholarships are interrupted due to reasons such as failure to renew their enrollment at the institution.

APPLICATION

Every student who meets the eligibility criteria must upload their student certificate, photograph, transcript, and personal information obtained from their university to the www.bursverenler.org website without any deficiencies.

The documents that must be attached to the Student Application Form during the application are as follows:

a) Criminal Record Document,

b) For scholarship candidates who are new undergraduate students, the OSYM Result Document as proof of achievement,

c) Student Certificate,

d) Transcript (For scholarship candidates in the intermediate year of undergraduate education, a document showing the general grade point average of all courses approved by the university as proof of success)

SELECTION OF CANDIDATES

The selection of foundation scholars is carried out in two stages. As a result of the applications made through the bursverenler.org website, the applicants are ranked according to how well they meet the application criteria, and the number of candidates is reduced to twice the scholarship quota. Then, these candidates are interviewed by the Scholarship Committee. These interviews can be conducted face-to-face if possible or via video call over the internet. The scholarship candidate must attend the interview; if not, they cannot receive the scholarship.

Academic performance and financial need criteria are taken into account when awarding scholarships. The Scholarship Committee ranks the candidates according to these criteria and prepares a report. The scholarship allocation table, showing the names, surnames, and academic rankings of the candidates selected for the scholarship, along with the Student Application Form and its attachments for each candidate, is included in the report. The Scholarship Committee submits the report and its attachments to the Board of Directors by the end of November.

SCHOLARSHIP ALLOCATION

The allocation of the scholarship to the student is done by the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors examines the status of the applicants based on the reports from the Scholarship Committee; if necessary, requests additional information and documents, conducts interviews, and makes the final decision.

SCHOLARSHIP PAYMENT

The Board of Directors determines the scholarship amounts and annual increase rates. The foundation transfers the monthly scholarships of selected students to their bank accounts starting from November. (8 months)

SCHOLARSHIP CONTINUATION CONDITIONS AND TERMINATION

For the scholarship to continue throughout the duration of education, the scholar must meet the following conditions:

b) The scholarship is terminated for those who provide false information to the foundation, and the full amount of the scholarship received is demanded for repayment.

Scholars, by applying for the scholarship, declare that they accept all these terms.
