İKLEV Areas of Activity

According to the İKLEV Foundation Charter information published on bursverenler.org, the İzmir Karşıyaka High School Education Foundation carries out work to support the education of Karşıyaka High School students, the development of the school and solidarity among its alumni.

Purpose

Supporting education, culture and school development

İKLEV aims to contribute to the education of Karşıyaka High School students in the light of free thought, contemporary science and Atatürk's principles. It seeks to support the development of students' abilities in study, inquiry, research and management, and their growth as enlightened individuals beneficial to society and humanity.

Its work includes contributing to the expansion, repair and development of school buildings and educational facilities, as well as educational and cultural services connected with the school community.

Areas of activity

Education and solidarity-focused work

School heritage and physical facilities

The foundation supports the preservation and continuation of Karşıyaka High School's historical and cultural heritage, as well as the renewal, repair and development of its buildings and facilities.

Learning spaces and resources

Work is carried out to provide educational tools and materials and to establish, develop and operate classrooms, laboratories and other learning spaces.

Student scholarships and support

The foundation aims to support successful students with limited financial means at Karşıyaka High School and graduates pursuing higher education, in line with the relevant Ministry of National Education requirements.

Social, cultural and sports activities

Support is provided for facilities, activities and organisations addressing students' social, cultural, sports, health, rest and recreation needs. Courses and collaborations that help develop amateur sports are also supported.

Courses, seminars and foreign-language education

Courses, seminars and conferences compatible with students' study programmes may be organised. Work may also be undertaken to bring specialist educators from abroad when needed.

Alumni and school community

The foundation contributes to students maintaining their ties and solidarity after school. It supports activities that strengthen relationships among alumni, school staff and students, as well as support work for the school community.

Collaboration and social support

The foundation may collaborate with school clubs, associations, foundations and similar organisations, and provide financial or non-financial support for addressing the health and social needs of students and teachers.
