You can join more than one workshop
You may apply to more than one workshop as long as the schedules work for you. A separate application form must be submitted for each workshop.

Young Theatre and Young Drawing take place at the same time on Mondays, so regular participation in both is not possible.
Who can apply?
  • Young people aged 16-29
  • Those interested in the arts and developing their skills
  • Those who want to explore a new art form
  • Those open to creating with a group
  • Participants able to attend regularly
  • Young people able to join the final performance, presentation or exhibition
Attendance requirements
The workshops build on one another, so regular attendance is expected.

Participants may miss no more than one week per workshop during the program. The final performance, presentation or exhibition is also part of the program, and participants are expected to take an active role in its preparation.
How does each workshop end?
  • Young Theatre: final stage performance
  • Young Music: solo and choir performance
  • Young Dance: stage presentation of movement and dance work
  • Young Drawing: final exhibition of works created during the program
Why do we recommend this program?
Developing through the arts is not only about learning techniques; regular practice and creating with others are equally important. We find the Young Art Program valuable because it gives young people free access to structured artistic practice, helps them develop their own forms of expression and gives them the opportunity to share what they create through a final performance or exhibition.
