Provides Two Student-Specific, Rich in Content Reports

School guidance services are carried out in three areas: academic-educational, individual-social and career. With these reports, CCT overlaps with the guidance services carried out and complements guidance work.

Student-Specific My Occupations List and My Personal Characteristics Reports

Provides valuable feedback for the School Counselor, Class Guidance Counselor, parents and the student.

It gives qualified content about the student to the interviews that teachers will conduct with the student's parents.

It structures teacher-student interviews with objective data and increases the impact of the interviews.

The school enables students to set goals that concretize their future dreams.

MY PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS REPORT

A person is who he or she is today because of what he or she is born with and what he or she has experienced in life. These make him/her different from others and influence what he/she can do in this life. While assessing a student's vocational interests and perceived abilities, the CPT interprets the personal characteristics that motivate his/her career orientations.

The rationale behind the development of this scale is that a student's career choice is basically a behavior that shows his/her motivation, interest, personality and ability. An occupation reveals some information about the individuals practicing that occupation, and the chosen occupation shows the individual's insights, abilities and perceptions about himself/herself, his/her knowledge about that occupation and his/her desire to enter that occupation. This is why the Career Planning Tool is more than an occupational inventory.

CPT conducts My Personal Characteristics reporting in the light of two personality and career theories. It is based on John L. Holland's typology theory (RIASEC) and the Myers-Briggs Personality Types (MBTI) approach, which are generally accepted in the fields of psychology, education science and human resources. The aim of these theories is to explain the behavior of individuals, their interaction with their environment and to help them achieve occupational satisfaction when choosing or changing a profession.

WHAT IS IN MY PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS?

An individual's student years are the period in which he/she gains psycho-social equipment for a life in which he/she will be satisfied and can exist. In this process, it is important to provide realistic information about who they are, who they can be and what they can do in this life. Because the fact that the future designed for the student is a project to be realized rather than a dream depends on this information about his/her potential.

In this report of the CPT, a multifaceted reflection is made about the individual. The student is introduced to himself/herself and allowed to gain awareness about his/her potential.

The assessments in the Personal Characteristics report of the CPT are given under the following headings.

  • General personal characteristics of the student
  • Top 30 most suitable professions for students
  • Working style and preferred environment
  • Attitude in interpersonal relationships
  • Basic professional fields suitable for the student
  • Student's way of thinking
  • Recommendations for communication success and career development

In this report of the Career Planning Tool, a special evaluation is created on behalf of the student that neither he/she nor those who say they know him/her "well" can put into words.

MY LIST OF PROFESSIONS REPORT

It is a personalized report defined by the US Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration and adapted to the Turkish culture, in which 962 occupations are ranked from "most suitable" to "least suitable".

No other educational institution in Turkey or in the world, as far as we know, offers such an inventory output to its students, ranked specifically according to personal characteristics.

This list of internationally defined occupations is important, because it is the goal of parents and the institutions that educate students to help them find their place in the global world of careers.

Unlike other occupational tests, the CPT matches personal characteristics with specific defined occupations. In addition to providing an overall assessment such as field, sector, occupational group, etc., it ranks 962 occupations according to the Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) by indicating the level of compatibility with the person in 5 levels and the percentage (%) of compatibility.

CPT uses the O*NET OnLine resource, which is continuously developed and recognized as the world's most successful human resources database.

Higher education programs are also suggested in the MY PROFESSIONS LIST.

There are hundreds of undergraduate and associate degree programs in higher education in Turkey. However, young people are preparing for a future without being aware of all these programs. CPT not only lists about 1.000 professions according to personal characteristics, but also suggests "through which higher education program" they can enter these professions.

Research shows that many people in business life are employed in professions that do not coincide with the department they graduated from. In order to prevent this situation, which is considered a career planning mistake, the higher education program recommendation in the CPT is important.

With this study, students can view the profession that suits their personal characteristics and the education programs that lead to this profession in a single report.

As is known, each profession requires a different level of preparation. The preparation process as well as the skills required for the professions of doctor of immunology and agricultural technician are different. CPT shows this to the practitioner in a separate column in the table in the Professions List report. The report's filtering feature presents occupations according to the level of preparation (preserving the order of personal fit).

The CPT algorithm, which works with thousands of lines of code and hundreds of thousands of cells full of data, guides young people with unique and high value-added information.
